How it Works
The financing for the assets can be done on a Murabaha, or Ijara basis. Under the Murabaha structure, Mashreq Al Islami will purchase the asset and sell it to you on a deferred payment basis. The price once fixed at the time of sale cannot change throughout the contract. We may also keep a mortgage on the asset as security for your payment obligations.
Under the Ijara arrangement, Mashreq Al Islami will purchase and own the asset you require can be arranged on the basis of Purchase & Leaseback and lease it to you in exchange for rentals payments. Once you have completely paid off the agreed rental payments over the lease term, the title of the asset will be transferred to you. This arrangement is particularly useful for structuring a floating rate financing facility.
